After a bit of a very rare sleep in I downloaded the latest edition of Mollie Makes to my iPad to browse through over breakfast. I then headed down to spotlight and bought all these beautiful yarny yumminess.
Aren’t all those colours just beautiful? Not sure what I will make with it all yet but just loved the colours and they were on sale.
I have joined a giant granny cal. This is mine so far….it’s about 30 or so rows….aim us 100 rows. It is very relaxing and easy to do in front of the TV. The link is in my sidebar.
I also wanted to share little lap rug I made recently. Don’t you think the coloursvare rather vintage looking? I do. The pattern can be found on millemakes.blogspot.com
Here’s a close up of the puffy flowers. I really enjoyed making this little rug. I would have made it bigger but was running out of the right coloured yarn.
I’ve also had a play making these coasters. Excuse the ends, I haven’t woven them in yet as still not sure what I’m going to do with them yet….maybe make some sort of bunting for my craft room….that’s why I made them in aqua & red.
I thought I had worked out how to add links using my iPad but it is still not working. I need to do more research.
Enough from me for now. Bye.
It’s insane I know. After being such a slack blogger I am now posting twice in one day…..but I just couldn’t help it. I had to post this photo of my crochet bag I finished this morning. I used the pattern from Lucy at Attic24’s original pattern. The link to her blog is in my sidebar (using my iPad to blog & not sure how to add links yet). Any way here it is in all it’s brightly colored stripy fabulousness.
Isn’t it great!!!!! Just perfect for holding all my yarn for my next project. Still deciding what I want to make next… Have a couple of options just not sure though.
Til next time,
Well I can’t believe how long it has been since I last blogged….life sometimes gets in the way. So a quick wrap up of the last couple of months:-
* Miss K & I have joined the gym so have been zumbaing, sh’bam ing & hip starring our butts off. I love all the dance fitness style classes. Wish I had lost more weight but I’ll keep hanging in there.
* Am a crochet addict. I just can’t stop. Here’s one of my recent hexie rugs I made
I love the colours – purple, lilac, bone & soft aqua. Not sure they are showing up all that well in the photo.
* I’ve also been updating my craft room – I’ve used my favorite colour combo of red & aqua with some white to break it up. Here’s a few photos.
I’ll post some more photos…..I’m using my iPad & some of the photos are side ways & I don’t know how to turn them around so can’t post them yet.
Well that will have to do for now. I need to research how to blog using my iPad a bit more.
I am sitting here & recovering after spending the last 2 (yeah that’s right, 2) nights watching the incredibly talented & sexy Keith Urban work his magic. Friday night I went to see the show with my Mum & Dad & my friend Jo. We had pretty good seats on the floor, and I danced & sang my butt off. My friend Judy (who introduced me to Keith in 2009) was a couple of rows behind me, bopping out as well. He would have to be without a doubt one of the MOST TALENTED guitarists in THE WORLD!!!!! I could go to a show & watch him work his magic on the guitar for hours. Another surprise that night was that I ran into a girl I was really close to at uni but lost contact with over the last 16yrs. She lives locally so we are planning to catch up.
Saturday night it was just myself & Judy who went to see Keith. We were really close and both got to touch his chest when he walked past us. That’s two for two. In 2009 when we went to see him we were in the second row & got to touch him then as well. The second show was just a good as the first. We danced & sang along from the time he came out til the time he left the stage. If he was playing a 3rd night we would have gone to see him again as well!!!!!
Keith Rocking Out!!!
(sorry for the grainy photo)
Hello & welcome to my new blog. I’ve been a bit of an erratic blogger over the years but have decided to make regular blogging a part of my life so to celebrate have decided to start fresh with a new blog. Bear with me as I navigate my way around using wordpress and making this blog feel like my own. But I look forward to sharing all my creative pursuits with the few people who may be interested.
